No, I never had it. Mongolians actually eat very little fish, despite the fact that their rivers and lakes are full of them. The stores all have varieties of canned fish, and we ate some smoked fish bought at a roadside stall, but otherwise it just wasn't offered.
did you eat taimen while you were there? is it easily found in restaurants?

It’s a place I have always wanted to visit. I had chance when I was as living in China , but it never panned out. I will make it there someday.
